Submission to the Inquiry into the Crimes and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2026

The Independent National Security Legislation Monitor, Jake Blight, has made a submission to the review by the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee of the Crimes and Other Legislation Amendment (Omnibus No 1) Bill 2026. The Monitor’s submission comments on aspects of the Bill that relate to the recently completed review of the Surveillance Legislation Amendment (Identify and Disrupt) Act 2021 (Cth) (SLAID Act).
